Privacy Policy

PolarShots ("we", "us") provides AI-generated product photography services. This policy explains what data we collect on polarshots.com and through our service, and how we handle it.

What we collect on this website

Nothing without your consent. Until you press "Accept" on our cookie notice, we set no analytics cookies and record no visit data.

If you accept, we collect:

• First-party analytics cookies — a random visitor ID and session ID, set by us, readable only by us. No third-party ad-tech cookies, ever.
• Visit data — pages viewed, time, referring site, device/browser type (user agent), and campaign tags (UTM parameters) if you arrived from a link that carried them.
• WhatsApp click data — when you tap a WhatsApp button we record that the tap happened (which button, when, from which referrer/campaign) before forwarding you to WhatsApp.
• IP addresses are never stored in readable form. We store only a salted one-way hash, used to de-duplicate visits. It cannot be reversed into your IP.
• Google Analytics 4 — if enabled, and only after consent, standard GA4 measurement runs on the page and we may mirror WhatsApp-click events to GA4. Google's processing is governed by Google's privacy policy.

If you decline, the page works identically — you simply aren't measured.

What we collect when you become a client

• Garment/product photographs you send us (typically via WhatsApp), used solely to produce your commissioned images and to verify our outputs against your product.
• Contact details (name, phone, business name) used to deliver the work and communicate about it.
• Trial-request details from the demo form (your name, WhatsApp number, brand, and garment type) — stored to respond to your trial request and forwarded to our internal tools (Google Sheets, Slack) solely for follow-up.
• Order records — briefs, quotes, delivery history.

Your photos stay yours. We do not sell them, publish them, or use them to train AI models. We display a client's originals or delivered images in our public portfolio only with that client's written consent.

Communication over WhatsApp

Our service runs largely over WhatsApp. Messages you exchange with us there are also subject to WhatsApp/Meta's own terms and privacy policy.

How long we keep data

• Website analytics: up to 24 months, then deleted or aggregated.
• Client photographs and order records: for the duration of our engagement and up to 36 months after, so we can honour re-orders and revisions; we delete earlier on request (see your rights below).

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers needed to run PolarShots (e.g., cloud hosting, Google Analytics if enabled, AI image-generation APIs that process garment photographs to produce your commissioned images, Meta/WhatsApp for messaging), each bound by their own data-protection terms — and with authorities where the law requires it.

Your rights

Subject to India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (and, where it applies to you, the GDPR), you may request: access to your data, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent (which stops future processing). Write to hello@polarshots.com — we respond within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India or your local authority.

Children

Our website and services are directed at businesses and are not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect children's data.

Changes

We will post any changes here with an updated date. Material changes to how we use client photographs will be notified to active clients directly.
